This watch is an excellent example of how "function" and "usability" can coexist in a professional diver's watch.
For PROMASTER, design must never hinder functionality. Therefore, much consideration has been given to the shape of each part. In addition to the unidirectional bezel ring structure, which is pressed down and rotated from the top, a double lock system that can be easily operated with a lock lever at 9 o'clock is adopted. The crown is shaped for a secure grip, the bezel ring is designed for easy turning, and the parts that touch the wrist have smooth, edge-free details.
This watch is also equipped with a special feature: a "bezel ring disassembly structure" that allows users to disassemble and clean it themselves if sand gets inside. Normally, watches—especially diver's watches—should not be disassembled. This surprising feature gives users the satisfaction of being able to maintain their own tool. This model is valuable for achieving both the presence and satisfaction of professional gear, while also providing comfort and peace of mind.
If functionality and wearing comfort are perfect, they provide users with a sense of security and comfort, leading to their delight. There are many important points in design, but a product that fulfills all of them is truly worthy of being called "user-friendly."

A professional diver's watch with mechanical movement. As a professional tool, it features a powerful case design and is a groundbreaking model that can be disassembled and cleaned. Together with the bezel lock mechanism, it leaves a strong, unique impression, and every detail is derived from function. The bezel shape with a reverse curve is unique.

A unidirectional bezel ring mechanism that is pressed and rotated from the top. The top surface features a unique font, deeply engraved. The ring for disassembly has a knurled cut on the outer edge.

A diver motif that has traditionally been used in CITIZEN's saturation diving watches. It is deeply engraved in relief, giving it a strong presence.

The durable strap, capable of withstanding 1000 meters, is screwed to the case. The buckle also combines strength and robustness appropriate for this, providing a sense of security. An extension strap for wetsuits is also included.

A "rotation lock mechanism" is provided at the 9 o'clock position. In addition to the unidirectional structure of the bezel ring, it completely prevents accidental rotation. The top of the bezel ring has a deep arc cut, making it easier to turn.

A groundbreaking disassembly system that allows users to easily disassemble and clean if sand or other debris enters the bezel ring. It is simple, easy to understand, and can be done easily. Such features enhance its value as a professional tool.

The index design on the dial, composed of semicircles, greatly contributes to legibility. The PROFESSIONAL logo asserts the potential of this watch.
ENGINEER'S EYE
Lifeline Mechanism
Since 1976, production has continued on the Cal. 82 family. After the Cal. 65 family and the Homer ceased production, there was even a period when, until The CITIZEN Cal. 0910 was released in 2010, it stood as the only mechanical men’s watch movement from CITIZEN. In other words, by keeping this movement in production, CITIZEN effectively preserved its manufacturing know-how for mechanical watches.
Within CITIZEN’s history of movement manufacturing, this great movement has yet another merit: the Cal. 82 features a gear-train layout that delights mechanical watch enthusiasts. Open the case back and peer through a loupe, and you can view from a slightly oblique angle, in its fully cased-up state, almost every wheel from the rotor to the mainspring barrel, and from the barrel to the balance wheel. Whether the designers intended this 50 years ago is now unclear, but because CITIZEN has traditionally favored thin, highly productive designs, it tends to distribute the gear train across the plate. As a result, even in a sturdy, no-nonsense movement like the Cal. 82, its mechanical virtues are celebrated—another hallmark of CITIZEN.
Also noteworthy is the register ring of this model, which can be disassembled and cleaned—a feature said to have been born from exterior engineers wandering the city in search of ideas and waking repeatedly at night to study the structure.
