Capturing Time
This watch features a mechanism in which the chronograph second hand instantly snaps back to zero—like a mechanical chronograph—when you press the reset button after timing has finished. The fan-shaped display at 12 o’clock can also indicate the charge level of the light-powered system. Around the push button, separate components are used, and the hand at 12 o’clock that shows the charge level is given luminescence so it can serve as an index—evidence of meticulous attention to detail throughout. Thanks to these efforts, it became a bestseller for a time in the North American market after its launch, and nearly 20 years later a reissue model was released.
