This is a wristwatch that allowed users to check messages received via the pocket pagers that were popular at the time, right on their wrist. With a sporty design and water resistance, making it a wristwatch eliminated concerns about accidental drops or water damage, making communication more enjoyable. To ensure signal reception sensitivity, the entire body was made of ABS, which required different design considerations compared to metal watches. The bezel features a metallic painting to both improve signal sensitivity and enhance its look and feel. It can be considered a forerunner of today’s smartwatches. The product also received the GOOD DESIGN Award at the time of its release.
