Beautiful Earth

Within CITIZEN L’s sustainability initiatives, this design is the first to incorporate biomimicry and was created under the supervision of biologist Shinichi Fukuoka. Seeking inspiration in the Earth’s beauty and the mysteries of nature, it features a dial fabric that uses structural color—changing impression with the viewing angle—to evocatively express the four elements that compose the Earth: earth, water, fire, and wind. The knit band woven with ECOPET® yarn offers excellent breathability and a soft, comfortable fit. Its simple design conveys a sense of gentle fluctuation and airy lightness, evoking harmony with nature and a feeling of gratitude.
