Harnessing light and radio signals

As suggested by the model name “AIR,” it features a light, flowing form inspired by birds and airplanes soaring through the sky. The design of the case and band is derived from aircraft streamlining, wing cross-sections, and weight-saving hollow structures. The case line follows a smooth, streamlined design with minimal recesses and protrusions. The dial adopts a form inspired by a jet engine’s fan blades. By drawing the power source that rains down from the sky—“light”—and the precise time information—“radio signals”—into the interior of the watch, it keeps time with high accuracy, expressing the functions of this watch. Winner of the Good Design Award in 2013.
