Asymmetrical Functional Beauty
A model designed to promote the adoption of radio-controlled watches by making it as close as possible in size to conventional watches. The antenna was relocated from the dial to the 9 o’clock side of the case to improve signal reception sensitivity. As a result, the design became asymmetrical from left to right, which became a major design hallmark. It also featured a unique function that indicated reception status via an LED blinking at the 12 o’clock position. Winner of the 1995 Good Design Award.
