Not a reissue, but an evolution
This is a distinctive model, commonly called the “Tsuno Chrono,” with the crown positioned at 12 o’clock and push buttons placed on either side. The first model in this line was released in 1973. To carry on that design, we redesigned it with a new form to mark the milestone of the 100th anniversary. Rather than a mere reissue, we aimed for forms that convey evolution while inheriting the DNA. We made the push buttons protrude more for easier operation, and by integrating the case back with the lugs, we created a shape that fits the curve of the wrist for greater stability. In this way, we focused not only on the impression of the exterior, but also on advancing functionality as a chronograph watch. Winner of the 2018 Chicago Good Design Award.
